“Narmedh” is the name given to theatrical performance of Bhishma Sahni ‘s two short stories- saag-meat and Traas. Saag meeth is performed by Mona Jha and Traas by Javed Akhtar Khan. The first show of “narmedh” was organized in 2003 at Klidas Rangalay, patna. The play was performed again in Delhi and Lucknow . Later one more story was added to the producton-“Amritsar Aa Gaya” which was performed by Vinod Kumar in 2004. The same team presented in Bhagalpur, Kolkata and Aazamgarh in the course of next few years. Till date 45 shows of “Narmedh” has been performed. The communal and class conflict issues are highlighted in the play.
